EXPLORE THE EVENT
About the event:

Practitioners who run real sustainable urban delivery, in conversation with the planners and advocates shaping it.

The Clean Mobility Collective is convening a candid online conversation on why sustainable, multi-operator last-mile logistics succeeds or stalls in European cities.

Bringing together practitioners running delivery operations with planners and advocates shaping urban mobility policy, the discussion will draw on practical lessons from across Europe to explore what effective decarbonisation of last-mile urban logistics means for workers, cities, communities and the climate.

The conversation will focus on what actually works on the ground, the challenges that can prevent projects from scaling, and the policy choices that can help create better conditions for sustainable urban delivery.

The conversation will feature three social-economy cooperatives that combine environmental and labour values with real delivery operations:

  • Rayon9 — Liège, Belgium

  • Gólya Futár — Budapest, Hungary

  • Eraman Repartos Koop — Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain

Participants will share practical experiences from their operations and explore the administrative, legal, data-sharing and incentive structures needed to support the transition.

The discussion will explore:

  • What policy choices have helped—and which have quietly backfired?

  • What administrative and legal structures do sustainable delivery operations actually require?

  • How can cities and operators overcome the challenges of sharing data and resources?

  • Why have microhubs and consolidation centres struggled to scale, and what can we learn from past experiences?

  • What can cities do differently when designing their next pilot or programme?

About the organiser:

Eraman Repartos Koop is a worker-owned cooperative providing sustainable last-mile delivery in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), and specialises in cargo-bike logistics for local businesses, restaurants, press and parcel delivery. Since 2020, the cooperative has been working to demonstrate how urban deliveries can be cleaner, more local and more socially responsible. Eraman is also involved in Vitoria-Gasteiz’s evolving micrologistics model, including the San Martín microhub, which consolidates deliveries before distributing goods into the city centre by cargo bike.

The Clean Mobility Collective (CMC) is an international network of NGOs, worker-led organisations, unions and grassroots advocates working to make cities more liveable.
