CMC Youth Transport Fellowship: 12 Young Leaders Chosen to Transform Global Transport

The Clean Mobility Collective is proud to bring together 12 visionary changemakers from across the globe for the 2026 Youth Transport Fellowship — all committed to building fossil-free, healthy, and safe cities for everyone.
The 2026 Fellowship Programme brings together passionate activists, researchers, organizers, storytellers, and movement builders into one powerful global community. Together, they will sharpen their skills, deepen their leadership, and support one another through a year of learning and action as they drive a fair and equitable transition to zero-emission transport.
Each fellow carries a story shaped by their community, their lived experiences, and their hopes for a cleaner, fairer, more people-centered future. This year’s cohort includes these inspiring voices:
Ephraim Danso (Accra, Ghana): Working to ensure the African Active Mobility story moves beyond discussions and imaginations to become a visible reality on roads and in communities.
Shravani Mangeshkar (Mumbai, India): A biodiversity researcher from Waatavaran Foundation, bringing communities and science together to protect ecosystems across Maharashtra.
Divya Suresh (Bangalore, India): An architect and urban designer advancing people-centric, sustainable mobility and public space improvements across Bengaluru.
Indah Khairunnisa (Jakarta, Indonesia): A public relations graduate and climate advocate using community engagement and campaigns to raise clean air awareness and improve urban sustainability in Jakarta.
Delilah Swaraswati (South Tangerang, Indonesia): A marketing and communications professional documenting urban mobility experiences and advocating for cleaner, more reliable, and electrified transport systems.
Phoebe Awino (Kisumu, Kenya): A community resource management professional and environmental advocate working to advance inclusive, sustainable mobility and climate solutions in Africa.
Gustavo Guzmán (Mexico City, México): A full-time bike courier driven to keep learning, growing, and doing better for zero-emission mobility that communities urgently need.
Roberto Hernández Juarez (Mexico City, México): An environmental lawyer and policy advisor advancing environmental, youth, and sustainable development initiatives in the Mexican Senate and on global platforms.
Grecia Sánchez (Mexicali, México): A marine biotechnology specialist connecting scientific research with community action to conserve marine ecosystems.
Joven Christian Jacolbia (Manila, Philippines): A development communication practitioner working at the intersection of climate action, urbanism, and mobility to protect the Pasig River and promote clean transport.
Jorr Paraiso (Quezon City, Philippines): A communicator amplifying grassroots climate and clean energy efforts across the Philippines.
Alejandra Martinez (Los Angeles, United States): An urban planner and artist using community mapping and storytelling to preserve histories, amplify voices, and strengthen local identity in Southeast Los Angeles.
Over the next year, they will design and lead projects that make transport not only greener, but also safer, more just, and more joyful for the places they call home.
To support them on their journey, the fellows will take part in monthly online training workshops to build key skills and knowledge; small-group peer sessions that spark creativity and collaboration; one-on-one coaching for personal leadership development; and optional networking and skill-building activities that broaden their opportunities. To turn their ideas into reality, each fellow will receive a monthly stipend and a project grant.
Transport sits at the heart of the climate crisis — and the climate solution. CMC believes that investing in young, visionary leaders is key in shaping cities where everyone can move freely, breathe clean air, travel on safe streets, and feel connected to their communities.
This fellowship is about giving young leaders the tools, trust, and support to make the future arrive faster. In the months ahead, we’ll follow the fellows’ journeys — the ideas they pursue, the progress they make, and the ways they help shape the future of mobility. We can’t wait to see what they learn, build, and spark in their communities.
