Creative and safe pedestrian walkway at Chuong Duong Forest Park in Hanoi

The road area near the Chuong Duong Forest Park was very popular and crowded with children, elderly people, and cyclists. But there were also many motorbikes speeding and cars parked, making it unsafe for park users.

Responding to the “Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful” movement of Hanoi City, the People's Committee of Chuong Duong Ward and Residential Group No. 5 coordinated with Think Playgrounds to redesign the space prioritizing pedestrians and cyclists, reducing emissions, and promoting friendly community creativity. The entire process was carried out with the active participation of the community. Construction activities include: cleaning, making murals from recycled materials, installing benches, planters, signs, barriers and exercise machines. Hopefully, with the new walking route, people will feel safer when traveling, and have a more vibrant and closer-to-everyone art space.

The project is sponsored by Clean Mobility Collective Southeast Asia and British Council Vietnam, with support from artist Pham Minh Duc.
