Green 20 Kilometers for a Safe City" campaign, why not?

Launched in 2023, the "Green 20 Kilometers for a Safe City" campaign continues to inspire green mobility initiatives across Vietnam. Air pollution has become an increasingly urgent issue in major cities, with traffic being one of the key contributors. In response, Live&Learn launched the campaign to promote green, clean, and low-carbon mobility options.

From September 22 to October 22, 2023, 234 green commuters across Vietnam participated in the campaign, embracing eco-friendly transportation options. These participants included schools, community groups, and businesses. Key results were:

  • 194 green participants completing more than 20 km of green commuting;
  • 4.960 km was travelled using green transportation;
  • 620 kg of CO2 emissions reduced;
  • 248 trees donated by Live&Learn to Gaia Nature Conservation’s fund through the “one tree for every 20 km of green commute” award
  • The campaign reached 43.459 people through the fanpage “Thế hệ xanh” (Green Generation).

The campaign successfully encouraged urban residents to adopt environmentally-friendly transportation choices, helping to reduce transport emissions and improve public health. Many participants expressed enthusiasm and commitment to continue promoting green commuting, spreading the message even after the campaign.
